What is the difference between Lake Lifter 1M and 2M systems?
A 1M is Lake Lifter's single motor 24V DC boat hoist, run by one master control box. A 2M is the dual motor version and uses an L/R master box plus a slave box so both motors run in sync. Order the control box that matches the system you have.
What does the limit switch do on a 1M or 2M hoist?
Per Lake Lifter, the limit switch cuts power to the UP direction once the lift reaches a set height while still letting the lift go down. It comes with a bypass plug. The digital master control boxes use electronic travel limits in place of mechanical limit switches.
Which motor power cable length should I order?
Motor power cables come in 5, 10, 15 and 20 ft lengths. Measure the route from the control box to the motor along the lift frame, add a little slack for movement, and pick the next length up. Blue Ridge Boat Docks can help if you send photos.
