DAKA Dock Frames & Sections FAQ

What is the difference between DAKA truss and Low Pro sections?

DAKA truss sections use visible 12 in. deep truss frames in aluminum or galvanized steel, with 4 x 8 and 4 x 4 ft sizes. Low Pro sections use a 7 in. extruded aluminum frame with hidden fasteners, or a 5 in. frame on Low Pro 5. Parts are not interchangeable between them.

What do platform and super platform brackets do?

DAKA platform and super platform brackets join sections side by side to make a wider end on the dock. Per DAKA, a platform bracket builds an 8 x 8 ft end from two sections and a super platform bracket builds a 12 x 8 ft end from three. They come in aluminum or galvanized versions.

Do DAKA sections include decking?

It depends on the listing. Some sections come with cedar, Titan, ThruFlow, Alumigrain or Sure Step decking, and others are frame only with no decking. Several are also sold without poles or pads. Read the title of each listing, and call Blue Ridge Boat Docks if you are unsure.
