Choosing Dock Accessories
Good accessories clear the walkway, keep gear dry and give everything a place. The main thing to check is how each piece mounts to your dock.
Post-mounted storage with Dock Bloxx
Dock Bloxx mount on dock posts from 1.5 in. to 6 in., square, round or octagon. Listings are priced for a 2 in. square post, so note your post size and shape when ordering. Options include:
- SUP Bloxx padded cradles for a paddle board.
- Tube Bloxx for a tow tube, with a strap for the rope.
- Life Saver holder for up to six life vests, with an arm that folds away.
- HOSE 'n Boats stainless hose mount that keeps the hose off the deck.
- Neat Cleat Bloxx, an 8 in. post cleat for small craft like kayaks and PWCs. Dock Bloxx says it is not for large boats or as the only mooring point.
- EZ Flag Bloxx for a 1 in. flag pole.
Dock boxes
The DPI 7 ft dock box measures 84 x 24 x 28 in., with 316 stainless hardware, lockable latches, a seat-strength lid on dual gas shocks, a vented interior and a drain plug. Our galvanized bracket set (three brackets) holds a dock box in place through wind and traffic. See dock boxes.
Seating
The Blue Ridge Dock Bench mounts to the outer edge of the dock and hangs over the water, so it adds seating without taking up deck space. It uses WearDeck composite lumber on galvanized steel supports.
