Connect-A-Dock metal accessory connectors attach accessories to dock sections or link a float to another dock. They are made in 1000 Series and 2000 Series versions to match the float height, and a hardware kit for the metal accessory connector is also sold here.
Both are offered in 44 in. and 56 in. widths. Connect-A-Dock recommends stainless or other non-corrosive hardware in salt water, so stainless is the safer pick there. Match the hinge width to your gangway and the finish to the rest of your dock hardware.
Connect-A-Dock explains that a gangway hinge lets the gangway flip up and over onto the dock. That can block access to the dock, make mowing the shore easier, or make the dock easier to tow when you move it. The hinge also lets the gangway pivot as water levels change.
