EZ Dock Couplers & Connectors FAQ

How tight should EZ Dock coupler nuts be?

EZ Dock's torque spec for coupler nuts is 15 ft-lbs, and it warns against over-tightening. Too much torque can damage the coupler and the pockets. The socket adapter tool in this category drives the hardware, and the in-water installation tool seats the bottom coupler.

Which coupler set fits a low profile EZ Dock?

EZ Dock's standard coupler set is part 301100. Low profile 8 in. docks use the 315100 low-pro coupler set, sometimes called a dog bone set. Indicator holes on the couplers identify standard EZ Dock, Port MAX or Low Pro use, which helps confirm what you have.

What are male and female hardware connectors for?

Hardware connectors attach accessories such as ladders and railings into EZ Dock coupler pockets. EZ Dock offers a male connector with a 5/8 in. stainless bolt and female connectors with 3/8 in. or 5/8 in. stainless hardware. Check the accessory instructions for the connector it needs.
