Blower Lift Controls

Lake Lifter blower motors, control boxes, valves, tilt sensors and conversion kits for air-powered floating boat lifts. Choose manual, wireless or Bluetooth Wi-Fi controls in AC or 24V DC solar versions, or convert an older HydroHoist lift. These boat lift parts keep a tank lift raising and lowering the way it should. Blue Ridge Boat Docks, a Marion, IL dock builder serving the Midwest, installs and services this gear.

Choosing Blower Lift Controls and Parts

Air-displacement lifts use a blower to push air into the tanks and valves to hold or release it. Lake Lifter makes blower motors and control boxes for these lifts and markets its replacement motors as compatible with air-displacement lifts from all major brands. The trick is matching power type, motor count and valve count.

Questions to answer first

  • AC or DC? AC systems run on shore power. Lake Lifter's 24V DC blower is a 1,500 W brushless motor that runs from two 12V deep-cycle batteries wired in series, usually with solar charging.
  • One motor or two? Single motor and dual motor control boxes are separate listings. Dual motor boxes run two motors and four valves.
  • Manual or wireless? Manual boxes use an EZ Turn or red handle. Wireless and Bluetooth Wi-Fi boxes add remote control.
  • Free floating or standard? Free floating lifts need free floating control boxes and parts, and the Rev R1 valve and actuator are for free floating systems only.
  • Valve barb size. Valve assemblies come in 1 in. and 1-1/4 in. barb sizes. Check your hose.

Replacing parts versus upgrading

If one part has failed, the blower motor replacement parts page has motors, valves, actuators, tilt sensors and cables. Lake Lifter sells motors motor-only, so controllers, trigger switches and the AC fan guard are separate. If you want to run off the grid, a DC 24V solar blower conversion kit pairs the DC motor with a smart controller, solar panel and charge regulator. Older HydroHoist lifts have their own conversion kits.

Common mistakes

  • Ordering a standard valve for a free floating lift.
  • Expecting a motor to arrive with a controller.
  • Undersizing batteries on a DC system.

Solar panels and battery trays are in solar charging and batteries. If you can't tell which box you have, send a photo of the lid and label to office@blueridgedock.com or call 618-294-6905.

Blower Lift Controls FAQ

Will a Lake Lifter blower motor fit my boat lift?

Lake Lifter markets its replacement blower motors as compatible with air-displacement lifts from all major brands, in AC and 24V DC versions. Motors are sold motor-only, so check whether you also need a controller, trigger switch or fan guard. Blue Ridge Boat Docks can confirm fit at 618-294-6905.

What is the difference between AC and DC blower controls?

AC controls run the blower from shore power at the dock. Lake Lifter's 24V DC blower runs from two 12V deep-cycle batteries wired in series and is usually paired with a solar panel, which helps where running electric to the water isn't practical. Pick the control box that matches your motor's power type.

What does a free floating control box do?

Free floating lifts use control boxes and parts built for that setup, including tilt sensors that feed lift angle to the box for auto-leveling. Lake Lifter's Rev R1 valve assemblies and actuator are labeled for free floating systems only, so don't mix them with standard Rev F parts.

Can I convert an old HydroHoist lift?

Yes. This category includes Lake Lifter HydroHoist conversion kits for Triton and Ultra lifts with a standard control panel, plus a push button control conversion kit. Check your lift model before ordering, and call Blue Ridge Boat Docks if you want the conversion installed.

Does Blue Ridge service blower lifts?

Yes. Blue Ridge Boat Docks installs and services boat lifts, including blower and control replacements, across Southern Illinois and nearby states. Parts can be picked up free in Marion, delivered locally, or delivered with installation. Call 618-294-6905 or request a quote on the contact page.
