Blue Ridge HD Gangway & Stiff Arm Bracket Set
This is the hinge that ties a gangway or stiff arm to the dock and lets it ride up and down with the water. We designed this heavy-duty set in house and cut every piece on our CNC plasma table in Marion, IL, then weld and hot-dip galvanize it so it holds up to wind, wake and seasonal water swings.
How It Is Built
- Two 3/8″ x 4″ x 12″ A36 steel plates, one with a single ear and one with two ears
- Three 3/8″ ears that tab into slots in the plates, filleted on both faces and welded from the back
- 1-1/16″ pivot bore for a 1″ Grade 8 pivot bolt
- Fully welded, then hot-dip galvanized after fabrication
- Plates close parallel, so the set stacks and ships compact
What’s Included
- 1 two-ear bracket and 1 one-ear bracket
- 1″ Grade 8 pin bolt for the hinge, with its two flat washers and two Grade 8 nuts
Mounting hardware is not included. Each plate mounts with 4 x 1/2″ Grade 8 bolts, 1-1/2″ long, with nylock nuts (8 per set).

- Gangway: 2 sets (4 sets when a stiff arm anchors on the dock)
