Blue Ridge Galvanized Box Truss Stiff Arms
A stiff arm holds a floating dock a set distance from shore while letting it ride up and down with the water. We build ours in our Marion, IL shop from the same galvanized steel box truss as our dock frames, so they hold up to wind, wake and seasonal water swings.
How They Are Built
- 1′ wide x 12″ tall box truss
- 2″ x 2″ x 3/16″ angle rails, cross members and verticals
- 1″ x 1″ x 3/16″ angle triangle bracing on the sides
- Cross lines max 3′ apart, each with a 9-1/2″ A-triangle brace
- Fully welded, then hot-dip galvanized after fabrication
- USA steel
Sizing
Available from 4′ to 32′ long in 2′ steps. We typically match the stiff arm length to the gangway unless your shoreline calls for something different. Mounting brackets are not included. Not sure what you need? Call us at 618-294-6905.
