Blue Ridge 10’x24′ Slip Dock Kit

The Blue Ridge 10’x24′ Slip Dock Kit

This is a complete floating boat dock built the way we build them for our own customers: a 10’x24′ boat slip with 4′ walkways down both sides, a 4′ tie section across the shore end, and a 4’x24′ gangway with handrails to get you from the bank to the dock. Overall dock size is 18′ wide x 28′ long with 360 sq ft of deck. Pick your decking and whether you want a roof, and the kit is built to match the drawings shown in the photos.

Choose your options

• Decking: concrete pavers, 5/4 treated wood, or composite decking.
• Roof: with a reverse gable metal roof over the whole dock, or no roof.

Why a Blue Ridge dock

• Heavy-duty galvanized steel frames. Every frame is a 12″ tall steel box truss, welded at our shop in Marion, IL and hot-dip galvanized to stand up to the water for the long haul.
• 5-year structural warranty on Blue Ridge-built dock frames (acts of God excluded).
• Stable, high-floating dock. DPI encapsulated floats run all the way to the free ends of the frames so the corners don’t dip. Floats are sized for each option so the deck rides 18″ or more above the water and still shows at least 3″ of float with a full load of people on it, with no more than 8′ between floats. Any leveling ballast (concrete pavers) is listed on the packing list.
• Arrives decked and trimmed. Our shop crew installs the decking and fascia on the frames before the kit leaves the shop, so there’s far less work on site.
• Clean, finished look. Composite cladding fascia (cedar color) on the paver and composite kits, 5/4 treated wood fascia on the wood kits.
• Built to be used. 4’x24′ gangway with truss handrails, and 2 mudpole anchors with galvanized collars and caps to hold the dock in place.

Roof package (roof options)

• Reverse gable roof, 19′ x 32′, covering about 608 sq ft
• 26ga metal roof panels with ridge cap; choose from our full list of roof colors (Charcoal Gray shown)
• 20 galvanized 2.5″ square roof posts with post bumpers, and galvanized Z-purlins

No-roof kits include a galvanized support purlin on posts across the lake end of the slip, with post bumpers.

What’s included

• Galvanized steel dock frames: tie section, two 4’x24′ walkways and a 4’x24′ gangway with handrails
• Your choice of decking, installed on the frames at our shop
• Fascia, installed at our shop
• DPI encapsulated floats with float hardware, plus any leveling ballast pavers listed for your option
• 2 mudpole anchors (21′ poles, galvanized collars and caps)
• Gangway brackets and all frame-to-frame bolt hardware

• Dock drawings for your project

What’s not included

• Freight / delivery. Not included in the kit price. You can pick up at our shop in Marion, IL, or we’ll quote delivery after you order. Local delivery is $100 within 50 driving miles of our shop and $200 within 100 driving miles; anything farther is quoted by freight. Nothing ships until you approve the freight quote.
• Installation. Not included in the kit price. Blue Ridge can install your dock; installation is quoted separately based on your shoreline, water depth and location. Our install crew is typically booked at least 4 weeks out.
• Permits, site work, and anything not listed above.

Standard kits — other sizes, layouts and options available

The kits in our online store are standardized Blue Ridge layouts with set options, priced so you can see exactly what a complete dock kit costs. They’re just a starting point. We build docks in other sizes and layouts every day: different platform and walkway sizes, boat slips, swim platforms, L and T shapes, longer gangways, stiff arms, roofs, roof colors, fascia colors and more. Good to know

• Lead time: galvanized frames run 3-4 weeks. Complete dock kits vary with the options you pick, the season and material availability. We’ll confirm your timeline after you order.
• Financing: pay over time at checkout, or ask about larger financing through Hearth.
• Dock kits are built to order, so we don’t accept returns. Orders can be canceled as long as nothing has been ordered or fabricated for them yet.
